Ben Dales was born in Guernsey in the Channel Islands, UK. He moved with his family to Perth, Australia, when he was just six months old before settling in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales.
After High School Ben lived and worked in the United States, and traveled through Europe. On his return to Australia, he relocated to Canberra. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in writing and performs in acclaimed rock band Degrees of Freedom.
