Salwa Yehia Al-Eryani, who is from Yemen, was born in Cairo, Egypt on 11\3\1967. As her father was an ambassador in different countries where often there were no Arabic schools, she went to American schools all her life. She then returned to Yemen and studied in Sana’a University, Faculty of Art, English Department. She is now married and is a mother of three girls and a boy.
Salwa writes for a Yemeni English newspaper called Yemen Times, besides working as an English teacher at Yali Intitute which functions under the supervision of the American Embassy in Sana’a. She also has a book of short stories in Arabic to her credit. Besides writing, Salwa loves Yemen and the dignity and freedom of all people.
